We loved our extra special stay for 1 night. the hotel was the best base for enjoying a new area, near a square with a church and buses. - Nicely decorated room with breakfast. - Best staff — everything was modern. - Central location of this lovely family-run property was a bonus. - the old town Rethymno district was worth exploring.

The location here was top-notch, just a 5-minute stroll to a cool old fort. My room was decked out with all the modern stuff, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud ☁️. They even had gluten-free bread at breakfast for those who need it.

A hidden gem in the heart of Rethymno town. The recently renovated Venetian house exudes charm and history. I loved the small courtyards and the rooftop patio with stunning views. The owner, Nicos, went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions, providing different bread for breakfast. The location is unbeatable, with a plethora of restaurants, historical buildings, and a beautiful beach within walking distance. Despite some drawbacks mentioned by other guests, I found this hotel to be a delightful and memorable experience. I highly recommend staying at this unique hotel.

We stayed at a hotel just inside the gate opposite the public garden. the Byzantine Hotel was easy to find with a visible sign. We were pleasantly surprised by the young guy who spoke some English and handed us a key without asking for our names or passports. the room was comfortable and clean, with a nice AC and reliable Wi-Fi. the old building had been renovated to our liking. the breakfast, although not a buffet, was delicious and served at 8:30. We enjoyed the outdoor patio where we had breakfast, and the location was perfect, being close to the old town. The free parking area recommended by the helpful staff was a bonus. Cons: Liked everything about our stay, including the friendly and helpful staff. 😊.

The historic building had a unique charm and the staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. The breakfast spread was also satisfying with a variety of options to choose from.
We had a less than pleasant experience with some aspects of our stay. The room we were given was small and cramped, while the air conditioning was loud and hardly effective.

This hotel is situated right at the edge of the old city and conveniently near a historic Mosque. the rooms have large windows that provide a pleasing view of the inner, courtyard and the spacious bathroom is fitted with a walk, in shower. the breakfast is unlimited and consists of delicious, fresh servings that are satisfactory for the day. the hotel is clean and well, maintained, with a welcoming hosting staff and a comfortable atmosphere.
The wifi connection is unstable and can be unreliable at times.
